KONGSBERG POWER PRODUCTS SYSTEMS I, INC., (KPPS) IS RECALLING ON BEHALF OF MONACO COACH CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2008-2010 MOTOR HOMES MANUFACTURED AFTER APRIL 2007 AND EQUIPPED WITH PNEUMATIC AND HYDRAULIC ADJUSTABLE BRAKE PEDAL ASSEMBLIES SUPPLIED BY KPPS. THE DRIVE PIN WHICH SECURES THE BRAKE PEDAL ARM TO THE BALANCE OF…

Consequence

A REDUCTION IN BRAKING OR INTERFERENCE WITH THE THROTTLE PEDAL COULD RESULT IN A CRASH.

Remedy

KPPS WILL PROVIDE A CLAMP ASSEMBLY KIT ALONG WITH INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON JULY 16, 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT KPPS AT 1-877-485-6647.

MONACO IS RECALLING CERTAIN MOTOR HOMES FOR FAILING TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 108, "LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT." THE MIDDLE SIDE MARKER LIGHTS ARE NON-REFLECTIVE.

Consequence

THE PURPOSE OF THIS STANDARD IS TO REDUCE TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS AND INJURIES RESULTING FROM TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS, BY PROVIDING ADEQUATE ILLUMINATION OF THE ROADWAY, AND BY ENHANCING THE CONSPICUITY OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON THE PUBLIC ROADS SO THAT THEIR PRESENCE IS PERCEIVED AND THEIR SIGNALS UNDERSTOOD, BOTH IN…

Remedy

DEALERS WILL INSTALL A REFLECTOR AT MIDPOINT ON THE SIDES OF THE COACH. THE RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN DURING NOVEMBER 2008. OWNERS MAY CONTACT MONACO AT 1-800-685-6545.
