Defect

THE LOCKING BOLT THAT ENGAGES THE STEERING GEAR SHAFT GROOVE DOES NOT PERFORM ADEQUATELY. THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR THE PITMAN ARM TO SLIDE AWAY FROM THE STEERING GEAR SHAFT.

Remedy

ALL VEHICLES WILL BE INSPECTED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TO ASSURE THAT THE PITMAN ARM LOCKING BOLT PROPERLY SECURES THE PITMAN SHAFT GROOVE. IF NOT, THE PROPER ADJUSTMENTS WILL BE MADE AT NO CHARGE TO OWNER.
