Defect

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2024 F-53 Recreational Stripped Chassis and 2024 F-59 Commercial Stripped Chassis vehicles. Consequence

A transmission gear position indicator that fails to illuminate can make it difficult to identify the correct transmission shift position, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Dealers will update the instrument panel cluster (IPC) module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on February 12, 2025. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 24C32.
