Defect
ON CERTAIN ROAD STAR WARRIOR MOTORCYCLES, THE LEAD WIRES FOR THE PICK-UP COIL CAN BREAK WHILE THE ENGINE IS RUNNING, CAUSING THE ENGINE TO STALL AND BE IMPOSSIBLE TO RESTART.
Consequence
IF THIS OCCURS WHILE THE MOTORCYCLE IS BEING RIDDEN, A VEHICLE CRASH COULD OCCUR.
Remedy
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE PICK-UP COIL. THE RECALL BEGAN ON MARCH 2, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT YAMAHA AT 1-800-227-5963.
