Defect

UNDERSIZED BOLTS, LOCK WASHERS, AND NUTS MAY BEEN USED TO ATTACH THE DRIVER'S PEDESTAL TO THE FLOOR.

Consequence

THIS COULD CAUSE PREMATURE SEPARATION OF THE SEAT ANDSEAT BELT ATTACHMENT FROM THE FLOOR DURING A CRASH WITH POTENTIAL FOR INJURY TOTHE DRIVER; ALSO, BUSES WOULD NOT COMPLY WITH FMVSS 210.

Remedy

REPLACE NON-COMPLYING DRIVER'S SEAT ATTACHING HARDWARE.
