Defect

Wabash National Corporation (Wabash) is recalling certain 2012-2013 converter dolly trailers. The affected trailers have fasteners connecting the counter weight tube to the body that may wear and/or loosen over time allowing the detachment of the counterweight tube from the converter dolly body while in motion.

Consequence

Detachment of the counter weight while the dolly is in motion can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Wabash will notify owners, and dealers will weld the counter weight permanently to the structure, free of charge. The recall began on October 12, 2017. Owners may contact Wabash customer service at 1-765-771-5404.
