Defect

Certain Utilimaster model year 2009 through 2011 Aeromaster and one model year 2011 Reach work trucks manufactured from September 1, 2009, through December 22, 2011, fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 206, "Door Locks and Door Retention Components."

Consequence

Certain work trucks are not equipped with either a primary door latch system or a door latch system with a fully latched position and a door closure warning system as required by FMVSS 206. Remedy

Utilimaster will notify owners, and dealers will repair the vehicles free of charge. The safety recall began on November 16, 2012. Owners may contact Utilimaster at 1-800-582-3454.
