Defect

Terex Corporation is recalling certain model year 2013 Terex Advance FD3000, FD4000, FD4000B, FD5000GL, FD6000B, FDB5000, 4 Axle Glider, 5 Axle Glider, 6 Axle Glider, and 7 Axle Glider front discharge concrete trucks manufactured October 2012 through October 2013. Consequence

Failure of u-bolts could lead to separation of the front axle from the vehicle, resulting in loss of operator control and increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Terex will notify owners, and dealers will remove the u-bolts and attach the front axle to the leaf springs using plates and studs, free of charge. The recall began on December 20, 2013. Owners may contact Terex at 1-605-882-4000.
