Defect

THE MOUNTING BRACKET FOR THE REAR TRAILER HITCH MAY BREAK BECAUSE IT DOES NOT HAVE SUFFICIENT STRENGTH TO WITHSTAND THE LOADS OF AN ATTACHED TRAILER.

Consequence

SHOULD THE TRAILER HITCH MOUNTING BRACKET BREAK, THETRAILER WOULD SEPARATE FROM THE MOTORHOME AND WOULD BE ATTACHED ONLY BY THESAFETY CHAINS, CAUSING POSSIBLE LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE TRAILER AND/OR THEMOTORHOME, WHICH COULD RESULT IN A VEHICLE ACCIDENT.

Remedy

INSTALL ADDITIONAL SUPPORT BRACKETS TO THE TRAILER HITCH MOUNTING BRACKET.
