The 1985 Peugeot 505 has 1 NHTSA recall campaign affecting an estimated 18,232 vehicles. Recall repairs are always free at any authorized dealer. Owners have filed 1 complaint with NHTSA, most often about the electrical system. Last updated July 5, 2026.
THE FUEL CAPS ON THE INVOLVED VEHICLES DO NOT SEAL PROPERLY AND ARE NOT IN COMPLIANCE WITH FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 301, "FUEL SYSTEM INTEGRITY." CONTACT WITH FUEL CAUSES THE FUEL CAP GASKET TO SWELL, PREVENTING ADEQUATE SEALING BETWEEN CAP AND FILLER OPENING.
