Defect
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: MOTOR HOMES. THE ELECTRICAL CONDUIT WAS NOT WRAPPED WITH A HEAT SHIELD ALLOWING THE CONDUIT TO GET TOO HOT AND SAG.
Consequence
IF THE CONDUIT SAGS, IT GETS TOO CLOSE TO THE EXHAUST AND WILL OVERHEAT THE COPPER WIRING INSIDE AND BURN, INCREASING THE RISK OF A FIRE.
Remedy
OVERLAND HAS GONE OUT OF BUSINESS. DEALERS WERE TO WRAP THE CONDUIT WITH HEAT DEFLECTOR MATERIAL, ADD 2 CLAMP RINGS, AND A MOUNTING CLAMP TO REATTACH THE CONDUIT UP TOWARD THE FRAME.

“All 6 tires on the motor home developed cracks in the sidewalls. This could result in a blow out while driving. The cause of the cracks was undetermined, but this was a common failure with these tires. *ak”
