Defect
ON CERTAIN SCOOTERS WITH ENGINE NUMBER (SF10K & SH10B) AND EMBOSSED CASTING NUMBER (KEB7-1), THE ENGINE MOUNT CAN BREAK.
Consequence
IF THIS BREAKAGE OCCURS, IT COULD CAUSE A REAR SUSPENSION FAILURE, WHICH COULD RESULT IN A CRASH.
Remedy
KYMCO WILL REPLACE THE ENTIRE ENGINE. THIS RECALL BEGAN ON JULY 22, 2004. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT KYMCO USA CUSTOMER SERVICE TOLL FREE AT 1-888-235-3417.
