Defect

Indian Motorcycle Company (Indian) is recalling certain 2020 Scout Bobber Sixty motorcycles. An engine control unit (ECU) update may have caused the brake lights to become inoperable.

Consequence

Inoperable brake lights can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Owners will be asked to inspect their brake lights, and advised to not ride their motorcycle if the brake lights are inoperable. If the brake lights are not functioning, dealers will re-flash the ECU, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 27, 2021. Owners may contact Indian customer…
