A dragging brake may cause damage to the brake components, which may activate the ABS warning light. The warning light may cause the driver to immediately stop the vehicle and transfer occupants. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM 18V127000 2018-02-20 2 affected
Defect

Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2018 IC bus CE transit buses equipped with 8.8L liquid propane gas (LPG) engines. The LPDM relay for the propane booster pump and the scavenge pump may intermittently fail, causing the fuel pump to stop.

Consequence

If the fuel pump stops, the bus will stall, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Navistar will notify owners, and dealers will replace the LPDM relay, free of charge. The recall began on April 12, 2018. Owners may contact Navistar customer service at 1-800-448-7825. Navistar's number for this recall is 18502.
