Defect
CERTAIN MOTORCYCLES WERE BUILT WITH MIRRORS THAT WERE IMPROPERLY LOCATED ON THE INNER FAIRING.
Consequence
IN THIS CONDITION, IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO ADJUST THE MIRRORS PROPERLY, THEREBY NOT ALLOWING THE RIDER TO HAVE THE APPROPRIATE REARWARD FIELD OF VISION, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
Remedy
AT THE OPTION OF THE OWNER, THE DEALER WILL (1) REPLACE THE INNER FAIRING WITH A NEW INNER THAT HAS THE MIRROR MOUNTING HOLES PROPERLY POSITIONED; (2) DRILL ANOTHER HOLE AND HAVE THE MIRRORS REPOSITIONED.
