Defect
ON CERTAIN CLASS B MOTOR HOMES BUILT ON THE SPRINTER CHASSIS, THE STEEL BRACKET SECURING THE HOLDING TANK IS INSTALLED IN A LOCATION IN WHICH IT PRESSES AGAINST THE OEM BRAKE LINES.
Consequence
THIS CONDITION CREATES POINTS OF POSSIBLE WEAR DUE TO VIBRATION DURING VEHICLE OPERATION WHICH, OVER TIME, COULD CAUSE THE BRAKE LINES TO FATIGUE AND LEAK BRAKE FLUID. THIS COULD CAUSE FAILURE OF THE BRAKES TO OPERATE PROPERLY WHICH COULD RESULT IN A CRASH.
Remedy
DEALERS WILL REPAIR THESE VEHICLES. THE RECALL BEGAN ON OCTOBER 14, 2005. OWNERS MAY CONTACT GULF STREAM AT 1-574-773-7761.
