VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: MOTORCYCLES. THE FUEL HOSE DISCONNECTS BETWEEN FUEL PUMP REGULATOR AND FUEL TANK OUTLET NOZZLE. THE FUEL PUMP AND HOSE ARE LOCATED INSIDE THE FUEL TANK ASSEMBLY.
Consequence
THIS CONDITION COULD CAUSE THE ENGINE TO STOP WITHOUT WARNING AFFECTING THE HANDLING OF THE MOTORCYCLE.
Remedy
EXCELSIOR-HENDERSON HAS GONE OUT OF BUSINESS. THE CORRECTION WAS TO INSTALL A PLASTIC SAFETY TIE TO SECURE THE FUEL HOSE.
