Defect

Ducati North America (Ducati) is recalling certain 2018 Multistrada 1260, 1260S, and Pikes Peak motorcycles. The side stand may be improperly welded, potentially causing the stand to break.

Consequence

If the stand breaks the motorcycle may unexpectedly fall over, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy

Ducati will notify owners, and dealers will replace the side stand, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin January 2, 2020. Owners may contact Ducati customer service at 1-888-391-5446. Ducati's number for this recall is SRV-RCL-19-004.
