Defect

Ducati North America (Ducati) is recalling certain 2017 Superleggera motorcycles. The front brake pads may corrode, potentially causing the front brake pads friction material to detach from the backing plate.

Consequence

If the front brake pads friction material detaches from the backing plate occurs, the motorcycle may experience increased stopping distance, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Ducati will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front brake pads, free of charge. The recall began June 1, 2020. Owners may contact Ducati customer service at 1-888-391-5446. Ducati's number for this recall is SRV-RCL-20-001.
