THE PARKING BRAKE CABLE SPRINGS ARE TOO LONG, WHICH CAN CAUSE FULL COMPRESSION OF THE RETURN SPRING BEFORE FULL ENGAGEMENT OF THE BRAKE PADS TO THE DRUM WHEN THE PARKING BRAKE IS APPLIED. Consequence

THE PARKING BRAKE MAY NOT BE FULLY ENGAGED WHEN THEVEHICLE OPERATOR HAS APPLIED THE PARKING BRAKE LEVER. THIS COULD RESULT INUNINTENDED VEHICLE ROLLAWAY.

Remedy

REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE PARKING BRAKE CABLE WITH A CABLE ASSEMBLY THAT HAS THE PROPER LENGTH SPRING.
