THERE IS AN INADEQUATE NUMBER OF EMERGENCY EXITS ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE THE BUS; DRIVER'S DOOR EMERGENCY EXIT LABEL AND INSTRUCTIONS ARE NOT PROPERLY LOCATED. WINDOW EMERGENCY EXIT INSTRUCTIONS ARE NOT LEGIBLE.

Consequence

BUSES WOULD NOT COMPLY WITH FMVSS 217, AND COULD CONFUSEPASSENGERS TRYING TO EXIT IN AN EMERGENCY.

Remedy

PROPERLY LABEL RIGHT EXIT DOOR AS 'EMERGENCY EXIT'; RELOCATE EMERGENCY EXIT LABELS; AND INSTALL LEGIBLE WINDOW EMERGENCY EXIT INSTRUCTIONS.
