2022 Altec Service Body Recalls

Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Aerial Device, 2022-2024 Forestry Body, 2022-2025 Service Body, and 2025 Digger Derrick vehicles. The Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) listed on the vehicle certification label may be incorrect, leading to the vehicle being unintentionally overloaded.

An overloaded vehicle can increase the risk of a crash.

Altec will inspect and replace the labels as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 7, 2025. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN CSN-3251.

Altec Industries Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2011-2025 Aerial Device, Digger Derrick, and 2022-2025 Service Body vehicles. The cable step wire rope assembly may be improperly secured, which can allow the cable entry step to detach from the vehicle.

A cable step that fails during use increases the risk of injury.

Altec will provide owners with instructions to inspect the cable crimps. If the cables are improperly crimped, Altec will provide instructions and a kit to replace the wire rope assemblies. An electrical short-circuit can increase the risk of a fire.

Altec will provide instructions to inspect the light assembly for moisture and install a new fuse. If moisture is found or the light is inoperative, a light replacement kit will be installed.
