THE EMERGENCY EXIT WINDOW RELEASE MECHANISM MAY REQUIRE MANUAL RELEASE FORCE THAT EXCEEDS THE MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE FORCE OF 20 LBS.
Consequence
WINDOWS WOULD BE DIFFICULT TO OPEN IN AN EMERGENCY ANDWOULD NOT COMPLY WITH FMVSS 217.
Remedy
REMOVE LEAD SEALS ON LEVERS OF EMERGENCY WINDOWS AND INCREASE PLAY BETWEEN INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL FRAME.
