NHTSA Recall 24V666000
Filed by Thor Motor Coach. Component: Equipment. Reported 2024-09-10. An estimated 17 vehicles are affected. Recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer.
Defect
Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2024 Palladium and Talavera motorhomes. The liquid propane (LP) tank is located too close to the chassis exhaust, which can allow the tank to overheat.
Risk
An LP tank that overheats can increase the risk of a fire.
What the manufacturer will do
Dealers will install a retrofit heatshield, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 17, 2024. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-500-1020.
