NHTSA Recall 21V441000
Filed by Thor Motor Coach. Component: Structure. Reported 2021-06-10. An estimated 321 vehicles are affected. Recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer.
Defect
Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2018-2022 Axis 25.6 and 2018-2021 Vegas 25.6 motorhomes. The heat shield between the LP tank and chassis muffler was not installed.
Risk
A missing heat shield increases the risk of a fire.
What the manufacturer will do
Dealers will install a heat shield, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 22, 2021. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-855-2867. TMC's number for this recall is RC000228.
