NHTSA Recall 20V032000
Filed by Arcimoto Inc. Component: Service Brakes. Reported 2020-01-20. An estimated 50 vehicles are affected. Recall repairs are free at any authorized dealer.
Defect
Arcimoto Inc. (Arcimoto) is recalling certain 2019 FUV motorcycles. During full right steering lock, the brake line may contact the steering main-link.
Risk
The contact may wear through the hard brake line, causing a loss of braking ability and increasing the risk of a crash.
What the manufacturer will do
Arcimoto will notify owners and will inspect for proper clearance between the hard brake line and the steering main-link, correcting as necessary, free of charge. The recall began January 24, 2020. Owners may contact Arcimoto customer service at 1-541-683-6293.
